Juliet Awaits
If Juliet had known... by Tammy (dm) Brown (©2004)
If Juliet had known how much love hurts,
Would Romeo have ever heard her words?
If she had never touched his heart with hers,
Romeo might never have found love in her.
Waiting for the right time, the right place,
The right day; waiting just to touch, to hold;
waiting to see the stars, to feel the heart race,
To let another heart know, Juliet awaits.
If fantasies could be granted by stars;
If wishes could travel fast and oh, so far;
Is this the way we’ve known love to be?
The way his heart racing lives in her stars?
If Juliet had never met the man of her dreams,
Would life as she knew it stabilize her soul?
Or another whisk her away, like a shooting star;
Into the safety and security of his loving arms,
Would she feel his heart race under the stars,
In a field of daisies, and Juliet awaits no harm.
